About Miss Trawick's Garden Shop

Miss Trawick's Garden Shop
The Little Red House was originally built in 1895 and for 50 years housed many famous people.  As a young boy William Randolf Hearst and his mother Pheobe spent several summers in the seaside cottage.  Also included is Julia Morgan, architect of the Hearst Castle and Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove.  The last resident was Miss Trawick, a local realtor for which the shop is proudly named.

The property was restored to it's original historic condition in 1995.  The main part of the house is home to the "Red House Cafe".  Miss Trawick's Garden Shop utilizes the original 900sq' carriage house and the existing garden areas
